The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services on the community.
SASSA might be rendering services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency said it's alarmed with regards to the high number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some large quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office committed to service the area on a regular basis. The provider level produced for intervention ordeals a significant influx of possible beneficiaries, that read more makes it hard for your Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more means to empower the servicing of all clients and maximize use of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
